This hotel is the perfect location, it’s right on the water and you are at ease being on 5th ave. Now the only 2 take away are they’re no elevators lol but again if you don’t mind walking it’s not too bad if you’re sober . The last take away is the cleanliness it’s not cleaned well the sheets were dirty we slept on top of the blanket, the restroom was filthy so we would use tissue as Barries on the toilet seat . Over all it’s a great place they need a better cleaning crew especially with the rise of bodily fluids in a restroom.

We stayed almost 3 weeks there booked with different companies that are cheaper.
Very centric, well located to all amenities & beach with ocean view. Besides that if it rains, water get inside & you can slip & fall. Maintenance wise not well maintain. The Bed are hard to sleep. Bathroom old & rusty. Shower tap water spilt everywhere. Need upgrade. Balcony Rails almost falling & rusted. The people who works there are very nice. It's the owner of Kay Hotel that doesn't take care nor invest more on the place for upgrade. The place value shouldn't be more than $50 dol We go often there because it's near every things. Hoping that you got all the answer. Thank you

What was the highlight of Hotel Kay Playa del Carmen
Great location, very basic amenities (some needing repairs).
Location is fantastic and super central. Staff were nice. Aircon worked. Room had basic amenities as described (bed, mini fridge, balcony with sea view).
The rooftop area/pool/hot tub is still under construction, which would have been nice to know before booking. The wifi was inconsistent. We had two towels in the room - it would have been nice to have something for a bathmat as the floors get super slick. The lock on the balcony door was broken. Some aspects of the room seemed to need repair (the sink/faucet was very wiggly, sheets had holes and rips in them).
